How do I begin to describe the meaning behind the band Switchfoot to me personally? I don't think I can. Switchfoot reminds me of long summer days at the beach with my then boyfriend-now-husband, San Diego nights, and almost a magic that only certain people seem to understand. So, I decided to put the band on part of my Summer Series, featuring Society 6 artists inspired by their lyrics.

1. Saltwater Heart- Oh man! This song! The Fading West album took me some series time but I'm so in love with it now. Definitely click on Saltwater Heart [Switchfoot] so that you can see the amazing details in this watercolor piece. I definitely think my hubby and I need this in our home.

2. Hello Hurricane- This song came at the perfect time when I needed to be reminded that you can't silence my love. I think it is necessary for these times we live in BUT it this piece definitely evokes summer days to me. I love those Polaroid type feeling photos. I'm definitely going to have a hard time not buying all of these pieces this week. You Cant Silence My Love is perfect centerpiece for a photo wall.

3. Restless- So this piece isn't straight from a Switchfoot album, but here's the deal, artist Jonathan Evans puts in his description: ""Until the sea of glass we meet At last completed and complete The tide of tear and pain subside Laughter drinks them dry." Do you see the restlessness in the waves? In Between is definitely a piece of beauty.

4. Thrive- The Vice Verses album had some series truths to it that spoke to my 21 year old self. Plus this album had a new sound to it. I was super pleased with the deep lyrics that seemed to emulate most Switchfoot albums but strayed away from the catchy tunes in Beautiful Letdown. Thrive longs to become a cell phone case, but Im thinking of putting it in my bathroom for those morning reminders.

5. The Mountain- Jon has done some solo work that he feels doen't quite fit in with the Switchfoot sound. Fans of Switchfoot rejoice because it gives us a chance to hear Jon once more in a different aptitude. This particular piece is from one of his album Sunlight. It's beautiful, inspiring, and calming to the soul. Face This Mountain would be a beautiful addition to your home.
Don't forget to message me if you have a Society 6 artist that should be featured on my Curator Monday spot. Also if there is a theme you would like to see my selections, DM me the theme and I'll feature it on my blog!
